Our Tips For Improved Mental Health And Wellbeing 

 

Life is a rollercoaster of ups and downs, and there is no such thing as being happy 100% of the time. Three-quarters of people in the developed world would class themself as happy, but this doesn’t mean you are immune to a bad day. 

 

What about the other quarter? With millions of people in the world being unhappy and struggling with mental health, there is always a need for new ways to improve the quality of life. Waking up in the morning happy and excited for the day ahead is something that we all deserve to achieve.

Get The Quality Sleep That You Deserve 

 

Every good day starts with a proper night of rest. Sleeping is an essential part of your daily routine but are you getting enough? Well, we are advised to have between seven and nine hours sleep every night, with this comes time to recharge our batteries and most importantly give the brain a rest from a long and stressful day. If you have less than seven hours of sleep every night, this can defiantly impact your mental health. Everyone is different, so find how many hours sleep you need to feel properly rested and ready for the day ahead.  

 

Take Up A Sport or General Fitness 

 

There is science behind happiness; endorphins are released to create this emotion that we all know and love. Sport is one of the fantastic things to take part in, and it can also promote endorphins within your body. Physical activity can also specifically impact depression, anxiety, ADHD. 

 

Physical activities can also work hand in hand with the sleep you get every night. The main reason that many of us struggle to sleep at night is that we haven’t burnt off all the energy that has been building up all day. If you work sat down in an office all day, you are well overdue some physical activity when the day comes to a close.  

 

Get Outside And Enjoy The World 

 

In my option, nature is the most critical part of everyone’s schedule. If you are struggling to get out and visit some green space within the working week, make sure you take the time to experience it on the weekend. Getting outside and enjoying the sun and scenery can work wonders for your mental health and wellbeing. It helps us escape the busy city living, allowing you to see the things in life that matter to you.   

 

Don’t Be Afraid To Speak To Your Loved Ones.

 

Sometimes the difficulties and stress you face in life can be resolved with a simple chat with friends and family. Speaking to someone who knows you can act as an excellent way to relieve stress and think clearly about the situation you are facing. Whether it’s in work stress or something within your personal life makes sure you speak to someone. You are not alone.
